The Biogarden is an economical and eco-friendly wastewater treatment system designed specifically for Nosara’s unique environmental and community needs. Utilizing natural processes, this innovative system offers an alternative to conventional wastewater treatment methods, promoting environmental health, water reuse, clean waves, and overall community well-being.

This integrated approach combines organic gardening with biological treatment to purify black and grey water through a series of engineered plant-based and microbial systems, mimicking natural ecosystems and reducing reliance on chemical treatments and energy-intensive facilities. Because it uses low-tech, natural processes, it is less expensive and requires much less maintenance than alternatives.
